14 Days till Christmas

Sometimes the impending doom of the christmas presents you have yet to buy is very overwhelming. But I shall prevail. (is that the right word, "prevail"?) What's sad is that I haven't even started the x-mas shuffle (you know the shuffle around the malls and stores). But what do you get the one you love? Who knows, with Leo it's a mystery. What makes me a bit more at ease right now is the fact that there is a very good chance that I get to go snowboarding this season!! Very exciting!! The only thing missing is a nice big fire place, a comfy blanket and a cup of caramel macchiato (a fabulous cafeinated beverage found at your neighbourhood "Blenz") Boy, do I sound like a ad campain or what, but seriously it's yummy.
Tonight I get to go to a Nativity play with a friend from work, Kendra, at her church. No, I'm not a big church goer myself, but I love Christmas plays!! And I kinda enjoy going to church on christmas eve and singing christmas carols ( at least I used to enjoy that, but it's been a few years) but we'll see I guess! Leo and I get to spend our first christmas here in Kelowna, with my dad and his girlfriend. Should be nice, but I'm gonna miss going home, seeing the whole family, and seeing old friends that come to town for the holiday season, and spending time with my new family (Leo's family feels like my family too). But it's just one year.
Boy, can I ever ramble on, but I gotta run, you know, work n'such.
Have a nice day.

First Snow!! YAY!

It's got to be one of the most beautiful things to look out your window in the morning and see glorious snowfall! Mind you, it's bad when all day you here on the radio about all the car accidents. People never react very well to the first snow of the season. That's what your feet are for!!
I watched the funnitest movie this weekend, "Dodgeball"is hilarious. It's Ben Stiller doing what he does best, and Vince Vaughn is soooooooo good. Leo and I laughed ourselves silly. There's this scene where they throw wrenches at peoples heads and we almost fell off the couch laughing. We own a Video Store (that's why I'm always talking about movies), just thought I should mention that!
We put up our Christmas tree the other day, it was pretty fun, finding the decorations, realizing that half of the strings of lights don't work, trying to switch lights around, swearing like a banshee, then settling on one string of little lights and your tree ends up looking a little like a charlie brown tree (on the decoration side of things that is). But it's so nice to start the whole thing starting up. Well, I better go, since I am at the store and maybe I should work or something. :)
